Useful tips for applying a Chinese visa

Pictures on the visa application form does not have to be expansive passport photo. You can take pictures using a digital camera, then take it to a local photo store and print it, or print on your printer with photo paper. However, pay attention to the size of the photo and head size in the photo.
Do not use ordinary paper to print your photo, that is not acceptable.
Always remember to sign your visa application form.
Money order may be purchased at local post office ($0.95) or stores like Wal Mart for as little as 50 cents.
When copying documents, make one-sided copy only. If you use double sided copy, the consulate officer may forget to look at information on the back side and cause delay or even deny your application.
(Chinese only) If you apply for visa for your children for the first time, you need to provide documents from parents. Please attach one set of parent document for each child's application, otherwise we have to make copies for you and that may sometimes cause delay of applications of you or other people.
For US citizens, a 1-year multiple visa is as easy to get as a single visa, and costs the same.
Frequent travelers, please make sure you have at least one blank visa page.
