- 2010/06/10: The consular fee for visa is adjusted to $140 for US citizens in response to the increase of visa fee by US side.
- 2010/06/01: China expands "resident permit" to more catagories, allowing an alien to stay in China for upto 2 years. [details in Chinese]
- 2010/05/18: French passport holders: please provide a copy of your flight itinerary. For business visa, please also provide an invitation letter from Chinese side AND a letter from your company/organization in US.
- 2010/02/25: From March 1, all Chinese passport renewals will need to come to the consulate in person, even for children and elderly.
- 2010/01/04: (walk-in customers) Houston consulate stops accepting cash, will accept credit card or money order.

Basic documents required for your Chinese visa application are:
- Your original passport (valid for at least 6 months, with blank visa pages)
- Filled Chinese visa application form (Q1)
- One photo (2x2, similar to passport photo)
- Online order confirmation page

How to apply: Step by step procedures

- Download Chinese visa application form (Q1)
and prepare your application
(general information and required documents).
- Fill out the online order form of our agency.
You order ID, our mailing address, payment information and other
instructions are shown on the confirmation page. Print two copies of the confirmation page.
- Mail documents to us: passport, consulate visa application form (Q1),
payment, and a copy of order confirmation page.
- Tell us the time and method
you mailed your documents, including tracking number, so that we can track the movement of your mail.
- We submit your Chinese visa application to the consulate, pick it up,
and mail it back to you.
- We update your order status by email and online when we:
a). receive your documents; b). submit your application to the consulate;
c). pickup and mail back your documents.
We usually send emails and update status in the evening hours, but if there is anything goes wrong, we may contact you during the day.
